Here’s what some of our members have to say:

Thierry:
Be part of a community of enthusiasts who really want you to have the nicest user experience by donating their time and advice toward your successes.

I speak from experience since I first came to this USER GROUP I believe in 1990 or earlier and it literally transformed my life . From the basic print support with Apple IIes , I was embarked on a very nice journey mostly because of the genuine attitude of sharing of most people and the sheer dedication of Terry.

Denise:
I learn so much just reading Applesiders Talk about my Macintosh, software, hardware. Since I live in Centerville, I do not get to the meetings very often, but still membership is well worth its value for me in guidance, tips, and laughs through Talk. When I lived in Cincinnati, Frank got me started with movie making.

Paul:
It is a great way to share Mac enthusiasm, find out great new things by
talking to others, to communicate ideas as we are doing now, to find answers to questions, get real life opinions on products, save money thru Apple store and MacAdddict subscriptions, to be with a great group of people ( and one dog), to be with great leaders like Terry and Paul and finally help newer people with tips on soft and hardware.

Emily:
The information posted about clearing out your "sent items" on the Fuse (or probably also others) Web Mail Log in, is a perfect example of why I joined Applesiders.

It is so very helpful to be able to post a problem question and get an
answer from friendly, supportive, intelligent people without having to pay a
fee for the call, or drive to a store. I seldom get to the meetings, but
really benefit from the Siderstalk.

I truly appreciate the hard work of the club officers and the list Mom(s).

Jim:
I retired from GE in March, 1998. Thanksgiving 2000, while seated at our dining room table, one of our sons asked me if I missed GE. I replied that the only thing I missed were the jokes and the e-mails I used to send and receive.

That Christmas he gave me an iMac. I had been retired from GE for a couple of years where I had used a computer as part of my job, however I wasn't (still am not) too adept at computer usage. The Mac was different from what I was used to.

A couple of months later I saw a little piece in the Cinti Enquirer about AppleSiders. I went to the next Beginners' SIG the following Wednesday and joined. I've renewed my membership each year since.

I've learned things in the Beginners' SIG from Terry and others and also in the AppleWorks SIG from Frank and Barry. I remember one night Frank showed us how to make greeting cards. I went home and thought, "I can do that." So for Christmas 2001 we sent out over 60 cards with a wintery picture of our house with a snowman out front and a personal message inside. I just saw one of those cards in Wisconsin last month when we were cleaning out some stuff from my Mother's house. I thought it still looked pretty good.

I didn't get to any of the large meetings when they were in Kentucky but I do get to most of them now that they have been moved to Springdale. I've learned things there too. Also, I've won some neat prizes.

I recommend AppleSiders.

Sharon:
When I first considered getting a computer, the salesman in the store told me about Applesiders. That sealed the deal. I know how important support groups are. That was Jan of 1996. I joined immediately.

I credit most of what I know to the Applesiders. I credit them too with amazing help and support when I’ve had questions.

Siderstalk, is our private e-mail service that has been a blessing on a daily basis. I’m am always in awe of the friendly, wise, prompt support.

Though my schedule doesn’t let me get to the meetings, I am always able to connect with them via Siderstalk, our private e-mail service.

This I know: I could not have come this far without Applesiders. It was one of the wisest decisions of my life to join.

So, if you’d like to join us...wonderful.
